Our Beloved Lost Pets - Forever In Our Hearts

  • Hershey

Hershey was that once-in-a-lifetime dog. She knew my thoughts, felt my emotions, and followed me every step I took. We went everywhere together. We slept side by side. We shared the highest highs and the lowest lows.

    Cancer took her from me

Hemangiosarcoma on her heart was the culprit. There will never be words that can truly express what she meant to me or how empty I feel without her. Hershey became part of my life in 2013, and she was fully mine from 2020 onward. During the lowest point in my life, she gave me a reason to keep going. Hershey showed me what unconditional love and companionship truly look like, and she gave me the strength I needed to reclaim my life. She knew my heart, she felt my soul, and she never missed an opportunity to love me well.

There will never be enough words to capture what she meant to me—but I know that those who knew my Hershey girl understand the bond we shared. Every animal we rescue & every goal we reach will always be dedicated to my beloved Hershey girl.

  • Rufus

Rufus was one of our more recent rescues. This sweet boy wandered into the back yard of one of our clients. His hair was matted, and he was in dire need of grooming & medical attention. Our clients brought him to us & asked us to help! How could we say no to this face? One of our groomers, Tammy, stepped in and offered her assistance to make him more comfortable, then we sought out the veterinary care he needed!

Our clients requested that we name him Rufus, and we thought it was the perfect old man name for him!

While at our resort, he formed a very special bond with Terry, one of our Kennel Technicians. Rufus is extremely missed by our whole staff, but especially Terry. He was one of ours, and we will remember him forever.

Dean came to our resort alongside his momma, Tammy—one of our amazing groomers. From day one, Dean took his job very seriously, using his ferocious bark to make sure everyone stayed safe. Once you earned his trust, though, there was no sweeter or more loyal love than what Dean gave. Named after Tammy’s all-time favorite show, Supernatural, Dean truly lived up to his name as the leader of his pack.

Crowley and Sammy are now helping their momma through this incredibly difficult loss as she continues to do what she loves here with us.

We are deeply grateful for the memories we shared with Dean, and we ask all of our clients to please keep Tammy in your thoughts and prayers during this time.

From tiny paws and bright eyes to a spirit that radiated joy, he reminded us how deeply meaningful even the briefest moments can be. Though his journey ended unexpectedly, his memory will always remain a part of us. We take comfort in knowing that he knew love, warmth, and care during his time here.

  • Ginger Spice

Ginger Spice was a bright, beautiful soul whose life was far too short, but whose impact will last forever. She bravely fought FIP, and despite everything she endured, her sweetness, spirit, and gentle nature never faded.

Ginger had a way of making herself unforgettable to everyone she met. She held a very special place in our hearts—especially for Jacob, who formed a deep bond with her and loved her dearly, as seen so clearly in the photo.

The connection they shared was something truly special, and it’s a reminder of how deeply animals can touch our lives in such a short amount of time. Though she was young, Ginger Spice left an imprint on our hearts that will never be erased. She will always be remembered for her warmth, her strength, and the love she gave so freely.

Rest peacefully, sweet girl. You are loved beyond words and missed more than you know.

  • Milkdud

This sweet boy was part of our beloved Dot & Razzle crew, and though his time with us was far too short, his impact will stay with us forever. He became very sick, and with heavy hearts we made the most compassionate decision to let him rest peacefully, surrounded by love. We are devastated that we didn’t get the chance to see him grow into the cat he was meant to be.

We wish we could have watched his personality fully blossom, seen his quirks, and shared more moments with him. Even so, he was deeply loved, cared for, and cherished every day he was with us.

He mattered. His life mattered. And he will always be remembered as a part of our rescue family.

    Basic Info:
    -Birthday: 6/8/2025
    -Tabby
    -Male
    -Loved all of the attention

  • Sam

Sam came to us alongside three other cats — Willie, Soto, and Oscar — after losing the only home he had ever known. He was diabetic and dependent on insulin, but after his original owners passed away, he sadly did not receive the care he needed, first at home and then while at animal control.

By the time Sam arrived with us, he was already very sick. We gave him all the love, comfort, and medical care we possibly could, hoping we could give him the chance he deserved. Sadly, despite every effort, his little body had been through too much, and we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go peacefully.

Sam was one of the sweetest cats, with a gentle soul that made everyone who met him fall in love with him. Though his time with us was far too short, he knew he was cared for, cherished, and never alone. He is deeply missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

  • Splinter

Splinter may have been the smallest of the Ninja Turtle litter, but his presence was anything but. From the moment he came into our care, he showed a quiet strength and a gentle spirit that touched everyone who met him.

We fought hard for Splinter. Every concern was met with urgency, every setback with determination. He was rushed to the vet when he needed it, surrounded by people who refused to give up on him, and cared for with as much love and attention as we could possibly give. Despite all of that, his little body just couldn’t keep up with the fight.

Though his time with us was far too short, Splinter knew warmth, safety, and love. He was never alone, never forgotten, and never anything less than cherished. He reminded us how fragile life can be, but also how powerful love is, even in the briefest moments.

Run free, sweet Splinter. You were deeply loved, and you will always be remembered.

  • Leonardo (Leo)

Leonardo was a cherished member of our Ninja Turtle litter, and from the very beginning he carried a quiet sweetness that made him easy to love. He had a gentle way about him—soft, calm, and comforting in the way only a special little soul can be.

We did everything we possibly could for Leonardo. He was closely monitored, rushed to the vet when concerns arose, and given round-the-clock care in hopes of helping him grow stronger. Every step of the way, he was surrounded by compassion, attention, and deep love from our team.

Despite our best efforts and his brave little fight, Leonardo’s body was not able to overcome his illness. Saying goodbye was incredibly difficult, but we take comfort in knowing he was never alone and never without care or kindness.

Leonardo’s time with us was far too short, but he was deeply valued and endlessly loved. He mattered to us, and he always will. His memory will stay with our Ninja Turtle litter forever, as a reminder of both the fragility of life and the depth of love we give to every animal in our care.

    Rest easy sweet Leo.

  • April O'Neal

Our sweet April O’Neil, one of our nine little ninja turtles, will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Her tiny ears, her playful spirit, and the way she ran around like she owned the world will stay with us always.

The night we took Momma to the emergency vet for dehydration, we had no idea what the unknown had in store. April had eaten, she was running around before the night crew left — she seemed okay. If only we had known what we were walking away from.

We don’t know if it was something sudden after we left, or if something unseen like ammonia took over. That uncertainty makes it even harder.

But what we do know is that April was loved. She was part of our family. She brought light, energy, and joy into our home. And no matter how short her time may have felt, she knew care and she knew love.

Her little ears will forever stay with us
