Shadow was relinquished by his owners to a local veterinary clinic. The veterinary clinic reached out to us for help, and we immediately realized how much Shadow needed us.

When he came into our resort, Shadow was fearful of any touch. He would not bark, did not wag his tail, and his head was hung low. It was easy to see how depressed he was, and how much someone previously had abused his trust.

After being with us for a few weeks, Shadow has opened up to love, and he seems to be much happier all around!

Strong, protective, and full of love, this momma has been nothing short of incredible. She has poured her whole heart into her puppies, showing just how powerful a mother’s love can be.

We first got a phone call that she had been seen wandering around while pregnant, and we rushed to set up a live trap in hopes of bringing her to safety. That night, we actually caught Bluey instead. Just a few days later, we received another call saying she was hiding under someone’s back porch.

We went back out immediately—and that’s when we found her laying with her six precious babies, tucked beneath the porch. To reach them, we didn’t even have a shovel. We carefully dug with a broomstick and literally army-crawled under the porch to get to her and her babies, determined not to leave them behind.

Behind her gentle eyes is a story of courage and survival, and now she finally has the chance to rest, feel safe, and be cherished. We’re honored to be part of her journey and can’t wait to watch her and her babies continue to thrive 💕

Bernard was picked up as a stray and taken to Greene County Animal Control. His stray hold was coming to an end when we saw him—and we just couldn’t walk away. With his incredibly sweet disposition and the way he reminded us so much of our very own Buck, we knew he deserved a second chance.

After bringing Bernard to our veterinary hospital, we discovered something heartbreaking—he has previously been shot with BBs. It’s something we will never understand, because this boy is nothing short of gentle, loving, and pure.

At just 2 years old, this beautiful German Shepherd found herself in an uncertain situation when her beloved owner was diagnosed with dementia and could no longer care for her. Through no fault of her own, Foxy needed a new beginning.

Despite the confusion and change, Foxy remained everything you could hope for—gentle, well-mannered, house-trained, and wonderful with other dogs. She carried her sweet spirit through it all, patiently waiting for her second chance.

When she came into our care, we knew it wouldn’t take long for the right family to see just how special she is. And sure enough… they did.

Today, Foxy is exactly where she was always meant to be—safe, loved, and thriving in her forever home. From uncertainty to security, from heartbreak to happiness, her journey is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.
