Corrie & Robin drove to the home to check on them. Unfortunately, it was evident that these dogs were more than Grandmother could handle on her own. Shadow was relinquished by his owners to a local veterinary clinic. The veterinary clinic reached out to us for help, and we immediately realized how much Shadow needed us.

When he came into our resort, Shadow was fearful of any touch. He would not bark, did not wag his tail, and his head was hung low. It was easy to see how depressed he was, and how much someone previously had abused his trust.

After being with us for a few weeks, Shadow has opened up to love, and he seems to be much happier all around!

Maple is the devoted mama of nine puppies that we rescued from Animal Control. She had eight little girls and one sweet boy tucked away in that belly of hers! When she first arrived, she was terrified and unsure of the world. Even the sight of a leash would send her into panic. She was heavily pregnant, exhausted, and completely overwhelmed.

Our team worked gently and patiently to help her feel safe. Day by day, she learned that hands can be kind, and that she didn’t have to run anymore. By taking a chance on Maple, we saved her and her nine babies from being euthanized that very day. Ten lives saved with one rescue. That’s Maple’s legacy.

She is still shy in new situations, although the progress she has made has been truly incredible. We could not be more proud of the brave, loving mama she is.

Maple is such a precious soul, and we are determined to find the perfect home for her!

Strong, protective, and full of love, this momma has been nothing short of incredible. She has poured her whole heart into her puppies, showing just how powerful a mother’s love can be.

We first got a phone call that she had been seen wandering around while pregnant, and we rushed to set up a live trap in hopes of bringing her to safety. That night, we actually caught Bluey instead. Just a few days later, we received another call saying she was hiding under someone’s back porch.

We went back out immediately—and that’s when we found her laying with her six precious babies, tucked beneath the porch. To reach them, we didn’t even have a shovel. We carefully dug with a broomstick and literally army-crawled under the porch to get to her and her babies, determined not to leave them behind.

Behind her gentle eyes is a story of courage and survival, and now she finally has the chance to rest, feel safe, and be cherished. We’re honored to be part of her journey and can’t wait to watch her and her babies continue to thrive 💕

Bandit’s life has been a rollercoaster. He once knew the freedom of running on a farm, only to have that taken away when he spent two years living on a chain. When we went to the family to offer help with getting a fence so Bandit could finally have a safer, better life, it became clear that they loved him enough to admit they couldn’t give him the care and attention he truly needed. That honest moment is what led Bandit to be relinquished to our rescue—and opened the door to his new beginning.

Now Bandit is safe and learning how to decompress and just be a dog again. He’s living the resort life, lounging on the couch, enjoying treats, and soaking up all the love he missed for so long. Haggard’s story didn’t begin in a warm bed or a safe yard. His life began on the streets — where meals were uncertain, nights were cold, and survival meant trusting no one. Day after day, he wandered, carrying the quiet resilience only street dogs seem to possess.

When we first met Haggard at the vet, he didn’t know yet that his life was about to change.

What stood out immediately wasn’t just his gentle eyes — it was his feet. He was already missing a toe, and heartbreakingly, it looked like he might lose another. The strange part? It was the exact same toe on both feet. While some suspected it could have been from life outside, the vet believed it was something more unusual. Something unexplained. Something we may never fully understand.

But what we do know is this — Haggard is being treated, carefully and compassionately. Every effort is being made to save that toe so he won’t live with pain. Because pain is something he’s likely known far too much of already.

He also carries wounds from his time on the streets. From what, no one can say. His past is written in scars, in mysteries we’ll never have answers to. Yet despite everything his body has endured, his spirit remains unbelievably soft.

Haggard loves in the purest way.

He doesn’t dwell on what happened to him. He doesn’t carry bitterness. He simply wants closeness, comfort, and kindness. He leans into affection like it’s the greatest gift he’s ever known — because for him, it probably is.

Right now, Haggard is healing. He’s getting the care he deserves. And soon, he will be a healthy, happy boy.

All he needs now is a home.

A place where he can finally rest without fear. A family who will give him the love he so freely gives. Someone who sees not the hardships he survived — but the beautiful, gentle soul standing in front of them.
