Shadow was relinquished by his owners to a local veterinary clinic. The veterinary clinic reached out to us for help, and we immediately realized how much Shadow needed us.

When he came into our resort, Shadow was fearful of any touch. He would not bark, did not wag his tail, and his head was hung low. It was easy to see how depressed he was, and how much someone previously had abused his trust.

After being with us for a few weeks, Shadow has opened up to love, and he seems to be much happier all around!

Hank was found wandering the street near our resort. One of our clients was able to keep him safe until we could get him inside the building. Kiara is one of our 15 Lion King-themed rescues! This group came from a hoarding/neglect case in Greene County during the heat of Summer 2025. With no access to clean water or food, our staff began collecting food donations and feeding these 15 daily.

Greene County Animal Control conducted a thorough investigation, then took in all 15 dogs. Once they were able to be pulled, our Officer friend reached out to us! It took us two long days & nights to bathe, remove all the fleas & ticks, and show these pups what love and safety felt like.

Maple is the devoted mama of nine puppies that we rescued from Animal Control. She had eight little girls and one sweet boy tucked away in that belly of hers! When she first arrived, she was terrified and unsure of the world. Even the sight of a leash would send her into panic. She was heavily pregnant, exhausted, and completely overwhelmed.

Our team worked gently and patiently to help her feel safe. Day by day, she learned that hands can be kind, and that she didn’t have to run anymore. By taking a chance on Maple, we saved her and her nine babies from being euthanized that very day. Ten lives saved with one rescue. That’s Maple’s legacy.

She is still shy in new situations, although the progress she has made has been truly incredible. We could not be more proud of the brave, loving mama she is.

Maple is such a precious soul, and we are determined to find the perfect home for her!

This sweet Husky was found at Animal Control, dangerously close to euthanasia. When we heard he had a sponsor, we knew we had to step in and give him the second chance he deserved.

When Opie arrived, he was in heartbreaking condition — severely matted to the skin, and clearly neglected. We got right to work helping him feel comfortable and safe again. Unfortunately, some areas had to be shaved, which is never ideal for a Husky’s coat, but it was necessary to relieve his pain and start fresh. We also learned Opie is Heartworm Positive, so we have partnered with our veterinarian to get him on the best road to recovery!

Now, Opie is finally able to rest, eat, and begin healing. He’s already showing us glimpses of the sweet, resilient spirit beneath all that hardship. With time, care, and love, we know he’s going to shine again — just like the beautiful Husky he was always meant to be!

Introducing precious Walter, our sweet senior gentleman! He came to us after a kind citizen found him in rough shape, covered in fleas and desperately needing some comfort and care. Once he arrived, we quickly learned he also needed to be neutered and have some dental work done to help him feel his best again.
